We welcome Bruce Ill as our new Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministry!
Bruce Ill
The Board of Christian Education is thrilled to welcome BRUCE ILL to Saugatuck Congregational Church in the role of Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministry. Bruce has recently earned a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary (UTS) after a 20-year career in the hospitality industry. He is passionate about his Christian beliefs, his love for God and about living an outgoing, friendly, giving, hopeful, fun-loving and generous life. He is a life long member of the UCC.
Bruce has experience teaching middle age youth in Sunday school, been a member of the Education Commission at Riverside Church in NYC, created and developed a seminarian led worship service at Riverside, was the Student Activities coordinator at UTS and has been a substitute teacher at both the middle school and high school level. He has been described as a man with great integrity, sincere humility, enthusiasm, and has been praised for being able to use his emotional and spiritual intellect to collaborate with others in an effective way.
