Community Feasts Project

A major church outreach project is our "Community Feasts Project." On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, hundreds of people are treated to a free, full holiday meal with all the trimmings in our fellowship hall. Countless volunteers are organized by our church members to create a festive, caring atmosphere for anyone who wishes to come. It is an extraordinary experience of true community as people from differing walks of life, religions, ages, abilities and socio-economic backgrounds gather together for food and fellowship.

We have SO many people and organizations to thank – a full list will be coming soon. In the meantime, our continuing gratitude goes out the kind and generous people of Christ & Holy Trinity Church for welcoming both our Thanksgiving Feast and our Christmas Feast into their “home”. And, as always, we are grateful to the dozens of volunteers who make it happen! (And to Larry Untermeyer, of WestportNow.com, for his beautiful pictures.)
2011 Thanksgiving Feast
Thursday, November 24, 2011
Our 2011 Thanksgiving Feast was a huge success, thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the support of the entire Westport community. Our special thanks go out to the Reverend John Branson and all the wonderful people at Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church who so graciously opened their doors for our feast. We will soon be posting pictures and a list of donors and “angels” who helped make this event happen, but in the meantime you can read about it here:
