Vanessa Taber, Acting Pastoral Associate
Vanessa is a graduate of Garrett Seminary (in Illinois) and is approved for ordination by the Fairfield East Association. Before going to seminary she had an 
extensive career as an Art Director. Vanessa has completed Clinical Pastoral Education and has had an internship in a local parish. She has done a number of things in her home church (Redding UCC) as what might be described as a volunteer staff member. Her references speak very highly of her and feel that our part-time position (10-12 hours a week) would be perfect for her.
Her responsibilities will include providing staff support for the Membership Committee and Missions Board; providing visitation for shut-ins as assigned by the Senior Pastor; serving as liturgist two to three Sundays a month at the 10:30 AM service; providing staff leadership for Healing Vespers and leading worship every other month at Westport Health Care.
