Sunday Services
All are welcome!
10:00 AM (Year-round)
The 10:00 worship service includes a Children's Time, our choir, the church school classes, the sermon and prayers, and Fellowship Hour following worship. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month.
8:30 AM Beach Services (Summer)
Many thanks to all the contributors to our summer beach service offering — we raised $3,481 to give to Homes with Hope and Christian Community Action.
During the summer months, an 8:30 service is held at Westport's Compo Beach, near the cannons (see map below for directions). Participating churches in the summer of 2012 were Saugatuck Congregational Church, Green's Farms Congregational Church, Norfield Congregational Church, United Methodist Church of Westport and Wilton Congregational Church. All are invited!
It's a BYOC event — "bring your own chair." Everyone can park for free, even if you don't have a Westport beach sticker — just tell the guard at the gate that you're attending the church service.

Worship Service Update by Doug Johnston, Board of Deacons — December 30, 2011

I have some very good news to share with you: we will be staying at Temple Israel for our 10:00AM Sunday worship services. Several of us from SCC met with representatives from Temple Israel and we came to an agreement that will allow us to continue to use their beautiful worship space. In addition, we are being given the use of classrooms for our Church School, and a room (and use of the kitchen) for our Fellowship Hour.
On behalf of everyone at Saugatuck Congregational Church, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Rabbi Bob Orkand, Executive Director Sandy Silverstein, Board of Trustees President Diana Muller, Board of Trustees VP Bruce Adler and the entire Temple Israel membership for this generous offer and opportunity. The relationship between our interfaith communities is continuing to grow and prosper.
Best regards,
Doug
